CooCoo Island

Part One

If I was stranded on an island called CooCoo Island on Halloween, I would probably die because zombies and monsters will come out and try to eat me! Dust shuffled under my feet as I made my way to the castle. The old door creaked as I opened it and went inside. I saw a very long hall that was really dark and another hall that had lights everywhere with two doors at the end of the hall. I went the way with all the lights but that hall was really a trap and a big cage fell on me and a zombie came out of the door on the left and pushed a button that took me inside a small room with other cages in it. I saw a monster in every cage. I thought that the zombies captured other children that were stranded on the island on Halloween and turned them into what costume they were wearing. But then I realized that they were real monsters and the zombies thought I was a monster because my costume made me look like a monster. Then I saw a zombie come in and he was coming right at me. He opened the cage to get me out and bring me somewhere but I kicked him in the face and his head came off and rolled on the floor.

“EWW!” I screamed because it looked really disgusting.

 I ran out of the cage and tried to escape but a real vampire flew down and got me. He took me to a different room full of vampires. He must have known I was trying to escape because he chained me to a wall and all the vampires came over to me. I was wearing a vampire costume and I think they were going to turn me into a real vampire.

The vampire wearing a crown said “What is your name,” in a really weird voice. 

"My name is Lindsey." 

"I'll help you escape," said the vampire.

Part Two

The vampire who was wearing a crown told some of the other vampires to get me down. 

 “How are we going to escape?” I said. 

 The vampire wearing the crown said, “You have to be a real vampire, but since you’re not I will put a spell on you so you can do everything a vampire can do.” 

He said something I couldn't understand, and I felt very weird when he finished. 

A very tall vampire gave me a mirror, and I screamed when I looked in it because I didn't have a reflection! The vampire had turned me into a real vampire. Then a vampire who had a super long cape said I will be human again in one day.

“We need to hurry because those zombies are trying to get me.” I said. 

I followed one of the vampires through a secret passage in the wall. 

"Good luck," said the vampire wearing the crown. 
"What is your name?" I asked the vampire with the really long cape. 
"Vamper." 

We came to a room with spider webs all in it.

Part Three

The vampire led me into the room and told me to be quiet because the monsters that the zombies capture sleep in that room and if we wake them up, the zombies will hear the monsters and come in and capture us. I saw lots of empty cages on one side of the room and the other side of the room there were only two cages and in the two cages were lots of bones. 

“Why are there bones in those two cages and none in the other cages,” I said.

“Those two cages were the zombies put the monsters when they are hungry and give them food and the other cages are where the monsters sleep,” the vampire said.

I said, “Let’s hurry and get out of this room because I think someone is coming.” 

“Fly up here with me so whoever is coming can’t see you.”

I flew up there and we hid between two big boxes that were stacked really high. I peeked over the boxes and saw a really weird looking figure.

Part Four 

The weird figure came inside the room and he opened a really small box and took something out of it. I couldn't tell what he took out of it but it looked like a really small gem. The weird figure turned toward the other wall and walked over there. He pushed on a couple of bricks and the last one he pushed went in and the wall opened up to an exit. 

When the figure had left I said, “Who was that and what did he take out of the box?” 

 “I don’t know who he is and I have never seen him before and he took a gem that someone found on this island long ago,” the vampire said.

Part Five

The vampire led me toward were the figure had left. He started to push on every brick and told me to do the same. I pushed on a brick and it went in. 

“I found it,” I said. 

 The wall opened up and I saw lots of trees. 

“We should go and find a place to sleep, ” the vampire said.

 We found a cave and I made a bed and went straight to sleep. When I woke up the vampire was already awake. I went out of the cave and ate some fruit. 

When I was done the vampire said “I have to go look something.” He quickly ran off and then back. He came back with the gem that the weird figure had stolen. “I will send you home and I will give you this to remember me and the other vampires. It will also let you return every Halloween if you want.” 

“Thank you,” I said. 

The vampire sent me home with the gem.
